
Emily Dulcan brings two decades of communications and community engagement experience to the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. Before joining RSRT, Emily worked at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, serving in community engagement and digital communications roles to connect the cystic fibrosis community with the Foundation’s programs and initiatives. One of her proudest achievements was creating and serving as the lead organizer of ResearchCon, the Foundation's online community conference dedicated to sharing the latest information about cystic fibrosis science and research.
Emily has led and supported communications and engagement work for several causes and institutions, including nonprofit organizations, political campaigns, and a federal agency. Emily has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri, a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s of science from the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Emily believes that to build wellbeing and empathy we must listen to people’s stories, taste the world’s food, and care for one’s self. She lives next to the beautiful Rocky Mountains in Denver, Colo., with her partner, dog, and cat.
