On December 27, 2023 Taysha Gene Therapies announced that their REVEAL pediatric gene therapy clinical trial is open for enrollent in the US. The first phase of the study is for children ages 5 to 8 while the second phase will expand the ages to include 3 to 8 years old. In total up to 27 patients will be enrolled. Two doses of the gene therapy will be tested. Rush University Medical Center in Chicago is currently the only clinic enrolling patients but there will be a total of 8 clinics eventually recruiting.
