October awareness month is right around the corner. Recognizing that funding drives the crucial research that will change our children’s lives we are excited to announce our AWARENESS and ACTION campaign: Speechless. For Rett.
Amongst the many challenges that Rett inflicts on our children perhaps the most difficult is the loss of speech. Speechless. For Rett. recognizes and honors this struggle. Throughout the month we’ll be promoting the campaign and asking everyone to go silent on Saturday, October 24 at 2pm Eastern. No talking, no whispering, no nothing. For one hour.
The more families that participate, the more powerful and impactful the campaign will be. We very much hope that you will join us.
Here’s how:
Step 1 - Register below and we will send you a Speechless. For Rett. mask (WE HAVE USED UP OUR SUPPLY OF MASKS. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO USE OUR FACEBOOK PROFILE PICTURE INSTEAD. REGISTRATION IS THEREFORE NO LONGER REQUIRED.)
Step 2 – Take a selfie with the mask and use it as your Facebook profile picture for the month of October
Step 3 - Create a Facebook fundraiser for RSRT
Step 4 - Let your network know that you’re asking them to donate to your campaign and you’d like them to go silent for one hour at 2pm ET on 10/24
As part of the campaign we’ll be creating and sharing a Speechless. For Rett. video to debut at 2pm on 10/24. We’d like to include a photo of families who participate in the campaign. Once you've registered below we’ll contact you about the video.
