We thank you with all our hearts for caring so deeply about this cause and for your tremendous generosity. We are thrilled to report that Reverse Rett NYC 2016 has raised nearly $550,000 for the research, with donations still coming in every day. Each of you who supported the event is affected by Rett Syndrome. You are parents of daughters with Rett, with your lives affected every minute of every day. You are grandparents, aunts, and uncles, wanting to do everything in your power to help cure this disease. You are friends of affected families, taking action to change the life of a brave and remarkable girl or woman with Rett and simultaneously helping to change 350,000 other lives.
We want you to know that every single contribution to the event has an impact. As you heard from Dr. Randall Carpenter, RSRT’s chief scientific officer, the scientific knowledge now is in place so that potentially curative approaches such as gene therapy can be prioritized. RSRT’s bold and ambitious goal is to make Rett the first neurological disorder that can be cured. Our daughters, granddaughters, nieces, sisters, and friends’ daughters deserve nothing less.
We could never thank you enough for being part of this with us.
