Jason M. Rothschild joined White & Case LLP in 2006 and concentrates his legal practice in executive compensation and employee benefits law. He advises clients regarding their employee benefit plans and programs, benefits-related tax matters, and fiduciary issues arising in connection with the investment of employee benefit plan assets. Mr. Rothschild has been involved in the structuring of investment funds that have been successfully marketed to employee benefits plans, and frequently counsels plan fiduciaries in connection with the making of plan investments. He provides transactional counsel in mergers and acquisitions, takeover defenses and a variety of other transactions. In addition, Mr. Rothschild advises both corporate and individual clients on executive compensation issues. He provides counsel in the negotiation of executive employment contracts, incentive compensation arrangements, equity based awards, non-compete agreements and severance arrangements. Mr. Rothschild coordinates pro bono legal projects undertaken at White & Case for the benefit of RSRT.
Mr. Rothschild and his wife, Rachel spearhead the successful Reverse Rett Gala in New York City which has raised over $2 million for Rett research. He has created a number of powerful videos that have debuted at the event. Mr. Rothschild also serves as a member of the Parent Advisory Board of the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Center for Rett Syndrome.
Mr. Rothschild attended Union College in Schenectady, NY (BA, 1995) and the Boston University School of Law (JD, 2000). He is admitted to the New York State Bar. He and Rachel recently moved from Stamford, CT to Austin, TX. They have two children, Zoe and son, Cooper. Zoe was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome in 2008.
